Maya's journey Rooted in Wellness, Created with Love Herbal Infused Creation by Maya
My passion for health and wellness has always been a part of who I am. As a fitness and health coach, I have spent much of my life learning about nutrition, caring for the body, and embracing a healthy lifestyle. I've always been fascinated by the healing traditions of nature and the beauty of simple, natural ingredients. But my journey into herbalism began during one of the most difficult chapters of my life. After suffering a serious back injury, my life suddenly slowed down. I went from being active and constantly on the move to facing physical limitations I had never imagined. Then came the heartbreaking loss of my mother, a pain that words could never fully describe. I was grieving, both physically and emotionally, and I needed something positive to focus on. Something that would help me find peace, purpose, and a reason to look forward to each day. That's when I decided to enroll in a school of herbalism and pursue my journey toward becoming an herbalist. What started as a way to take my mind off the pain slowly became a passion. I immersed myself in learning about herbs, botanical ingredients, infused oils, and traditional herbal preparations. Working with nature brought me comfort, creativity, and a sense of purpose during a time when I needed it most. Another deeply personal part of my journey was my mother-in-law, who had asked me to make her a special bay leaf soap. Sadly, she passed away before I had the opportunity to give it to her. That unfinished gift stayed in my heart and became another meaningful inspiration behind my creations. Through grief, learning, and a growing love for herbalism, Herbal Infused Creation by Maya was born. Today, I handcraft small-batch soaps, botanical skincare, herbal bath products, and thoughtful gifts using carefully selected ingredients. Every oil infusion, every botanical blend, and every bar of soap is created with patience, intention, and love. For me, this business is so much more than selling handmade products. It represents strength, new beginnings, and finding beauty even in life's most difficult moments. What began as a way to heal my heart has blossomed into something I can share with others. My hope is that every creation brings a little comfort, joy, and natural beauty into your daily self-care routine. Handcrafted with purpose. Rooted in nature. Made with love.
The slow way, step by step
Small batches can't be rushed — that's what makes them small batches.
Step 1
Steep
Whole botanicals are covered in oil and left alone for weeks — the old way. No heat, no hurry, just time doing the extracting.
Step 2
Pour
Infused oils meet gentle bases and are poured into molds in small runs, each batch blended and poured by hand.
Step 3
Wrap
Every bar cures, gets a trim, and is wrapped in kraft and twine before it earns a place on the shelf.
What by hand really means
Small batches
Made a few dozen at a time, so every bar gets the attention no assembly line could give.
Whole botanicals
Real herbs and petals, grown or carefully sourced — never a synthetic stand-in for the real thing.
Made to be used
Formulas for everyday skin, honest ingredients, and nothing you have to look up in a chemistry book.
The story so far
The beginning
The first batch
A calendula infusion on the windowsill becomes the first balm — made as a gift, kept by popular demand.
First market day
The folding table
A small table at the local market sells out before noon. Maya takes the hint and keeps making.
Growing
The garden grows
The herb beds expand, and so does the shelf — soaps, scrubs, soaks and oils join the line.
Today
Still by hand
Every order is still poured, cut and wrapped by hand in Maya's studio — now finding its way to kitchens and bathrooms everywhere.
